The "Fishing Mission" is a great group event and a unique team building experience because it combines medical mission work with vacation fun and adventure. Your team will work directly with the Foundation America Maya, A.C. and local medical providers to offer services to Mayan families and children who are truly needed.

Our programs focus on general medical care, general surgery, screening and anti-parasite programs. We welcome both religious and non-sectarian sponsored groups to organizing missions with us.

WANTED Mission Groups: Physicians, dentists, nurses, optometrists, pharmacists, assistants and ALL mission minded individuals with a willingness to help are needed. No prior experience in medical mission is required. In your group, you will need volunteers to assist by registering patients, caring for children, setting up the clinic, keeping records, and teaching nutrition. Playa del Carmen is Spanish speaking so translators are needed as well.

PLAYA DEL CARMEN ACTIVITIES: Whether you are on the medical mission to Playa del Carmen or enjoying a great vacation, there are many other activities to partake in during your trip to Playa del Carmen -- Mayan Ruin tours, fly fishing, reef fishing for a variety of fish, diving, snorkeling, and just relaxing on the beach.

NO MISSION GROUP BUT WANT TO HELP! Just visit the Foundation America Maya web site or the Ajua Maya Restaurant. Donations are always welcomed and can be used. The Red Cross Clinic here in Playa del Carmen is in desperate need of just basic supplies .
